Hi, I’m Harmonie Ponder, and I help churches and christian organizations get online, get more exposure and bring more traffic to their site.

I grew up in Troy, Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit, MI.

Growing up I was always good at math. My mother always told me I should go into accounting and so that’s what I did (of course)! When I was 19, I got a summer job next door to my home selling swimming pools. During the off season, I worked at a another local store. A customer of both stores got me an interview and I landed an accounting position with a national drug prevention company. I went to school and worked full time.

Naturally, because of my “can-do” attitude, I was thrust into tackling many different positions there. In fact, I remember instances where I typed the text for the catalog, proofread the design, quoted out the printing, mailed the catalog, sold the order, processed the order, packed the order, and paid the vendor. What else is there? This was great! I began to see the bigger picture of business and gained my confidence while I succeeded.

In 2000, I was assigned the task of creating a 300 page website…manually. I’ll tell you, by the end, I was great at html and restarting the server! By 2001, I was officially the Operations Manager/Controller and the company was doing well. Toward the end of 2003, after 6 1/2 years of service, I felt it was time to move on and that’s what I did.

I made the move to Northern Michigan, to spend more time outdoors doing the things I love and appreciating life more. For 2 years now I am doing exactly what I want to be doing! Helping organizations, just like me, succeed.

When I launched Ponder Consulting in late 2006, I made a promise to God. The promise was that a portion of my tithe would be in giving back to ministries so that The Word would be made available to more people.

I am blessed to be able to give back. Nothing has ever felt so…right.
