I have said it before and I will say it again: “God used Facebook to reconnect me with old friends.” Actually in this case, my former youth pastors/sponsors from Troy Assembly of God, Pastor Scott and Kellie DeClaire. The last time I saw them nearly half my life ago, it was 1993 and I was 16.
It was one of those reunions where you feel like a day hasn’t gone by since you last saw them. It was just wonderful, on the shore of South Higgins Lake under the shade of a tree, the scenery couldn’t have been better. The company was inviting just like they had always been.
I appreciate Scott and Kellie and that they always made me feel welcome, both 16 years ago and today. What special people and I thank God for sending them back into my life.
